Yum, Chocolate Soup

Popped into a quaint pastry shop near the Gondola in Steamboat Springs called Chocolate Soup! Sound delicious, doesn’t it? It was! After waiting in line to rent skis we dashed over to Chocolate Soup for a delightful chocolate croissant and coffee–really good house coffee!! Plus, the staff was extremely pleasant and cordial.
The service was a nice change after the people at Ski Stalker were extremely rude, mainly some “kid” named Lee who clearly has no clue as what customer service means. My friend had such poor service that she decided to hit the local shop, Powder Pursuit for her snowboard and received amazing service! It’s a shame businesses don’t get a clue and train their employees better to improve customer satisfaction and make $$!
Hung out with Doug Moreland and the boys before they put on a great show under the Big Tent. Corby Schaub of Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses joined them on stage, too!  The night continued over at the Grand where we enjoyed a montage of Texas artists including Hayes Carll, Kevin Welch w/Reckless Kelly & the Trishas, and the Band of Heathens.  Of course, who could have resisted watching the acoustic show with Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers at the top of the gondola?

I whipped up a quick pot of chili for my roomies and I to save $$ and have something warm after being on the slopes all day.

Now, it’s time to gear up for tomorrow’s line up which includes the entire Randy Rogers Band, Kristen Kelly & the Modern Day Drifters, Micky & the Motorcars, Stoney LaRue, Brandon Rhyder, and oh so many more…

Wish you were here, too~
