Break Out the Bus Blender!

Hands down the quickest way to have a breakfast “on the go” or on a bus is with a blender.  You can macerate just about anything with a powerful motor!  Thus, be sure to get a good, sturdy blender that can handle a few bumps along the road.  If you can afford splurge for a Vitamix, but if that seems to steep opt for the Cuisinart or KitchenAid brands.  You can even get one to support the breast cancer awareness!  You can wear your Randy Rogers Band shirt, “Come for the Boobs Stay for the Acoustics” while your blending up your next cocktail!  But whatever you do don’t go cheap!  You’ll be forced to buy another one in a year or two; whereas, with a higher quality blender (motor) you can have that baby for over a decade!  Better investment all around.

Once you have it you can mix up a morning smoothie, a classy cocktail, or blend a favorite soup.  Blenders are really versatile and handy to have around.  Try this nutritious breakfast blend when you can:

Nutty Carotene Blend

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, cut into large wedges
  • 1 banana
  • 1 Tbsp Almond Butter or Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Carrot Juice

Directions: Blend and enjoy!

Remember, the whole fruit is always better than just the juice.  Pump up the nutrition and the flavor with tossing in the whole fruit or vegetable!
